In comparison to Medium Density Fibreboard (MDF), Chipboard and other plywood alternatives, OSB sacrifices a smooth surface for enhanced mechanical performance by using longer strands of wood.
Product Description
Oriented Strand Board (OSB) is an engineered wood-based panel designed for construction and other industrial use. OSB has exceptional dimensional stability and a uniform structure and meets the same performance standards as plywood, yet is more cost-effective.
For dry and humid structural use OSB3 is the ideal panel. You benefit from BBA approval and the choice of square edged or T&G formats. This panel is designed to withstand all the punishment you can throw at it. It is an excellent choice for humid structural applications such as house building and commercial construction projects.
Our OSB / Sterling boards are rated to OSB3 which is manufactured in accordance to EN300 and is the perfect choice for roofing, flooring and wall sheathing where strength, moisture resistance and flame retardance are paramount. OSB3 is common place on all building and renovations sites.
It is easy to use and cut and requires only a standard saw. We do recommend resealing the ends of the board if you cut it to retain the moisture resistant coating.

We sell this board in one size 2440mm x 1220mm (8’x4′) boards and in two thicknesses 11mm (1/2”) and 18mm (3/4”). We only sell full boards.

Delivery Policy
We will endeavour to deliver your items as soon as possible. Items on backorder are not held in stock and can sometimes mean a delay to your delivery. Our normal delivery service is currently 5-7 working days. We will contact you when your order is ready to confirm delivery.
All deliveries are kerbside unless otherwise agreed with the driver on the day. Driver discretion takes precedent. If you require HIAB delivery, please mention this when placing your order. Please add details in the notes section.
Unfortunately, we are not able to offer a nationwide delivery service on our bulky items. However, if you would like to place a sizeable order, please call our sales office on 01538 753184 as alternative delivery options may be available.
We endeavour to post out your small goods the next working day; however, in busy periods this can take a little longer.
